But what is plasma plate burning?

This process is also known as plasma cutting. Where high-temperature plasma is ejected by a nozzle, melting the material on contact, and performing the cut. Plasma comprises a variety of gases, which are selected based on the material being cut. When the stream of gas meets the metal, it completes the arc and super-heats it to start the plasma stream.

The plasma increases in velocity to help eject molten material from the cut. The machine follows the instructions from the CNC controller as designed by one of our team members. Once all the cuts are made, the program completes, and the plate is ready for the next step in production.

After the plate cools enough, we remove it from the machine. We then clean up any left-over slag burrs around the cuts. Finishing the edges and preparing the piece for a final inspection. Our team ensures that all the project requirements and tolerances are met.

The result is a clean, complete piece that is cut precisely to meet the requirements of the project.
